Two Fish is a proposed new mixed-use development at 641 E. 47th Street, the current location of popular restaurant Two Fish Crab Shack. The development is a ground-up brick-clad, steel and wood structure five-story building. In the podium of the building, three new commercial spaces create opportunities for local businesses and amenities. A large new space for the Two Fish restaurant creates additional square footage and a mezzanine area for open seating, take-out, events, and private dining. Inspired by spaces like TimeOut Market in West Loop, the new Two Fish restaurant builds on a thriving existing business to create an expanded space for neighborhood dining. Above the commercial podium, four floors of residential development with two units per level create contemporary living spaces for young professionals, a strong emerging market in the Bronzeville area.
