Located in a landmarked building in Chicago’s South Shore, designed by early 20th century architect Robert DeGolyer, this contemporary kitchen is inspired by its historic context. Using color inspired by the first modernist “Frankfurt Kitchen,” this design unifies a separated spaces into one continuous experience for cooking, eating, and entertaining. A custom wallpaper inspired by another contemporaneous DeGolyer work provides bookends to the expanded kitchen space.
