Piccadilly Theater HQ

A hidden gem in Hyde Park has remained vacant for decades. This project proposed to transform the lobby of the historic, now demolished Piccadilly Theater, into an innovative destination for tattoos—and tattoo artists.

This project establishes a flagship location for a transformative approach to the tattooing business and experience. The design takes on a challenging adaptive reuse intervention in the lobby of a former theater which has been abandoned for decades. The design concept of project both reinvents the private one-on-one relationship between a tattoo artist and their client as well as the public energy of a thriving business.

The architectural approach creates a cultural hub for the South side, featuring space for events and engagement. It honors and features components of the original space in juxtaposition with contemporary materials, reflecting the businesses innovative approach to an ancient art.
